The Pathology Department of the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College here begun a drive -- Tum Mujhe Khoon Do Abhiyan -- on Monday to motivate blood donors.
Dr Arvind Neral, Head of the Pathology Department, announced this while addressing the first-year students of the Medical College.
He said a healthy man can donate blood every three months and woman every four months without fear or hesitation.
If blood donation is done regularly from the age of 18 to 65 years, then a person can donate blood 188 times.
Special blood donation camps will be organized every month for the students of the Medical College, he said.
The next blood donation will be organized in Medical College premises on January 24.
