Reacting on the razing of house of Padmashri Bharati Bandhu and making his family homeless, former Raipur Municipal Corporation Chairman and BJP Spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava said that it shows total insensitivity and inhuman act of Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey.
The barbaric act is not only disrespect to the Padmashree but also to the state.
Shrivastava said that in RMC limits there are thousands of houses which have been constructed through encroachment on government land.
The Mayor had not shown any interest in razing such structures but on other side the Sufi singer without being provided an alternative, his house have been razed.
The BJP spokesperson said that the ruling government both the Centre and the State had launched housing schemes and is providing houses to all the families.
The Mayor had accepted the fact that the action has been taken by Municipal Corporation, so he has to reply then why without providing alternative residence, the house of Padmashree was brought down, he said.
Bharati Bandhu had also said that without notice the action has been taken, then the action cannot be justified, Srivastava said.
He aid that Padmashree Bharati Bandhu should be immediately provided a house to rehabilitate as per his status and action be taken against the officer involved. Mayor should also seek apology from the family and with due respect provide them a roof.
