‘Rahul doesn’t even know what plough is’

How could the Congress President be sensitive towards the plight of farmers when he doesn’t know what a plough is, commented Chhattisgarh Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development, Ajay Chandrakar on Monday.

He was reacting to the address of AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi at a farmers rally in Raipur  capital .

Rahul should rather talk on 'CD issue', said the minister.

Chandrakar while citing a public meeting in Rajasthan said the AICC Chief doesn’t know what a plough is.

Rahul Gandhi questioned the farmers  about what was that equipment (plough) all about, said Chandrakar.

Such a person has come here in state to talk about the farmer’s plight, he said.

Charging that exploitation of farmers and tribals was happening in Congress rule the minister further claimed that the Chief Minister Raman Singh here had already turned the agriculture into a profitable business.

Chandrakar also mocked on political inheritance of Rahul and said gone are the days of dynastic rule when king was decided right from the womb of queen, he said.

Referring to loan waiver by the then United Progressive Alliance (UPA), Chandrakar further said that only big farmers of Congress were benefitted in it and the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) had also objected then.
