Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu on Wednesday directed traffic policemen to penalize vehicles of even his convoy if the drivers break traffic rules.
Only in case of an important meeting or in special circumstances, the convoy should be allowed to pass the traffic signal, he said while chairing a meeting of all SPs in presence of DGP D M Awasthi here.
He also directed officials that extra vehicles in his convoy be taken off.
The Minister told officials: “You all have long work experience. You are also aware of the problems and you also know the solutions. It is also the effort of the State government to let people experience better policing”.
You need to prepare an action plan and if there is a need for reforms, the government is ready for that. We will tackle all the challenges, Sahu told officials.
