Chhattisgarh’s School Education Department on Wednesday told Principals of all Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Schools to inform students and parents that they can buy uniforms from any shop.
In a letter to all the Principals, the Department's Principal Secretary, Dr Alok Shukla, asked them to put on the notice board that the schools won't force any student to buy uniform from a particular shop. "Students are free to buy the uniform from any shop."
Dr. Shukla denied that parents were being forced to buy uniforms from a particular shop.
He added that it was a propaganda to malign the image of the Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools. False rumours are being spread through social media, he said.
