Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and one of claimant of candidacy for Vaishali Nagar Assembly seat, Rakesh Pandey called on the senior leaders of the organization to register his protest.
He on Thursday had arrived at the Ekatma Parisar, BJP’s divisional office along with his sister and party’s to meet National General Secretary Saroj Pandey BJP’s National Joint General Secretary (Organisation) Saudan Singh, National General Secretary and In-charge of Chhattisgarh Dr Anil Kumar Jain and State Organization Secretary Pawan Sai.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Rakesh Pandey said, “I had interaction with Saudan Singh, Dr Anil Kumar Jain and Pawan Sai. I had placed before them my point of view. Recently whatever situation was created, I wanted to speak about it. It is internal matter of the party.”
Pandey further said “There is no issue of registering my protest. The party has its own process where the candidates are selected and in that my name was also included. Through secret ballot the party workers’ sentiments and choice were called. It had conducted its own survey for information.”
He said that the matter came up that party workers wanted me but problem is that when a worker wants to do something, then how the party respect his or her sentiments and considers.
“It can be taken in anyway. The BJP goes with theme of a party with difference and that traditions should be maintained. One prominent issue was family lineage and one point of allegation was raised against me was the family relationship as if one sends one arrow, around 40 arrow returns back,” he stated.
Further he said that for last 30 years, he had been the party worker and would continue to do so. All efforts will be put by working for the party’s candidate to win in the election.
“I have faith that BJP would come to power once more led by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. It would be on the basis of 15 years of developmental works undertaken,” Pandey said.
