‘Godhan scheme opened new avenues of prosperity’

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday said the Godhan Nyay Yojana has opened new avenues of prosperity for the entire state. It will be further  strengthened.

He said this in an address after virtually transferring Rs 15.37 crore to beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyay Yojana from Kanker, an official communication said.

He said the state government through different Nyay schemes had been providing direct economic         benefits to farmers, tribals, labourers and the poor. Even during Covid-19, the cycle did not break.

Sharing the experience of his visit to different assembly     constituencies, Baghel said enthusiasm was found among  cattle-owners, self-help groups and gauthan committees. All these have helped women the most by giving them new financial strength.

On queries from the Chief Minister, the Agriculture Minister said only 44 percent chemical fertilizers have been supplied against the demand in the state. Baghel said that amid a shortage of chemical fertilizers, there was a need to promote   vermicompost.
