Farmers are feeling cheated after being given substandard soybean and paddy seeds by the Chhattisgarh Seed and Agriculture Department Corporation (CSADC), former state BJP Kisan Morcha President Sandip Sharma said here on Tuesday.
The CSADC has supplied thousand quintals of non-standard soybean seeds to farmers, he said in a press statement.
After the distribution of non-standard seeds of paddy Swarna, this is the second such move by the corporation, he said.
The seeds distributed by the corporation failed to germinate and farmers are feeling cheated, he alleged.
He asked the government to blacklist the companies which provided below standard seeds to the CSADC.
"We demand full compensation for the farmers who have suffered due to non-standard seeds," Sharma said.
