A ‘Child Protection Month’ will be organized in Chhattisgarh from August 24 to September 28.
Special vaccination drives will be held every Tuesday and Friday, both in the urban and rural areas, from 9 am to 4 pm, an official communication said on Monday.
Several events have been lined up during the month-long drive at the Health and Anganwadi centres.
The target is to administer Vitamin A to 26.40 lakh children aged 9 months to 5 years and iron folic acid syrup to 27.60 lakh children from 6 months to five years. The drive will be jointly organized by the Health, School Education and the Women and Child Development departments.
