nChhattisgarh has established new benchmarks in MNREGA, opined state Panchayat Minister TS Singhdeo here on Friday.
He reviewed the progress of various departmental schemes like MNREGA, Pradhanmantri Avas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Samgra Vikas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, National Rural Livelihood Mission and few others.
“Chhattisgarh by achieving various norms of MNREGA among top states of the country has established a benchmark and we need to keep up the good work,” Singhdeo said while patting the officers and department employees.
He directed officers to regularly visit villages for ensuring effective implementation of rural development schemes. He also told them to maximize pension, labour payment and scholarship payments through ‘Sakhi Bank’.
“This home delivery of banking services should reach to differently abled and elderly people living in far flung rural regions,” he said.
He stressed for ensuring sufficient availability of green and dry fodder at Gauthans and said for this development of pasture land should be included in key departmental works.
