Beti, Bahu, Dadi, Nani all participated in ramp

With an aim to honour the women and to offer a platform for showing their talent India’s well known Varisht Nagrik Kesari Club has organized Summer Queen Fashion Show 2014 on the occasion of International Women Day at Delhi Haat Pitampura from 5:30 pm onwards. Women of all age groups i.e. 18-25, 26-35, 36-50 and 51 & participated in the contest and shown their talent. Ms lohita Mojak declared the winner of the show and Dr. Anjali Bhagra, Kesari Women 2011 crowned the winner. Besides, Somali and Ina Madan were announced as first and second runner up respectively. Cash prize of 1 lakh rupees given by Varisht Nagrik Kesari Club to the winner and Rs. 50000 and Rs. 25000 to the first and second runner ups individually.

World’s well-known fashion designer Ritu Beri has joined the show as the chief guest and World famous designer Puja Nayyar, Social Activist and artist Shalini Passi, Social Activist Neelam Rudy, Designer Sana Chandna and Ruchika Mehta were the judges the show. For grooming the contestant’s Famous stylist, london Nisha has taken a special session of all the contestants and Singer Jassi forced the audience to clap by his rocking performance.

Besides, Varisht Nagrik Kesari Club also honoured those women who truly did wonderful job in their respective fields as young achievers. Pratibha Advani (Daughter of lal Krishna Advani, Indian talk show host, Anchor and a successful producer), Nalini Singh (Well known anchor for several current affairs programs on Doordarshan and most known for her program, 'Aankhon Dekhi', on investigative journalism), Smriti Irani (Indian bahu, actress and politician), Ritu Mahajan (Engaged in doing work in health sector. Believes in saying all is well and always work for awaring women about cancer disease), Dr. Kusum Ansal (well-known writer. she has written several critically -acclaimed books both in Hindi and English, which have been translated into several languages. Her works include short story collections, poetry, novels, travelogues and autobiographies), Nilofar Husain (Daughter of Sehnaz Husain and a well-known industrialist & writer), Bindu Dalmia (Journalist), Vinita Guliyani (Skynik Jewellers, gives 15 percent of her profit to Varisht Nagrik Kesari Club for serving the old people), Shalu Jindal (Classical Dancer), Nisha (Stylist), Indu Bala Arora (Educationist), Shilpa Arora (Educationist) are few names awarded as Young Achievers.

Summer Queen 2014 is very unique as women from size zero and XXX size participated in ramp walk with full confidence and shown their hidden talent. The essence of the event is to develop a confidence in women of our society.
