New Delhi, Jul 24 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the expanded Health Information Management System (HIMS), aimed at digitising healthcare services and easing access for patients.

“HIMS will allow online appointment booking, eliminating long queues. Over 93 lakh Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs have been generated, enabling centralised digital health records,” Gupta said.

The CM also inaugurated 34 Ayushman Mandirs and eight Jan Aushadhi Kendras, providing subsidised medicines and primary healthcare services like vaccinations, maternal care, wellness counselling, and yoga sessions.

Taking a dig at the previous AAP government, Gupta said, “Thousands of crores were spent, but no major hospital projects were completed. Delhi will now be developed into a hub of super-speciality hospitals.”

Currently live for OPD registrations in 35 government hospitals, HIMS will soon cover all public health institutions. Patients will receive digital OPD slips and real-time access to health records.

Health Minister Pankaj Singh said 68 Ayushman Mandirs have been set up within a month, strengthening Delhi’s healthcare infrastructure. “This is not a government of advertisements, but of action,” he said.

The new Jan Aushadhi Kendras, located in government hospitals, will offer essential medicines at affordable rates. Singh added that 17 such centres have already been opened this year, with more planned.
