Hair fall and thinning is becoming common. There are several reasons for the same. Change in season being one of them. When we wash our hair, they become moist. During monsoon, when the air is already saturated, frequent washing of hair will make them wetter. This leads to more hair fall. Here is what one can do to prevent this:
First, do not wash your hair frequently. Keep hair dry. This will help minimise the chances of breakage and damage caused by dampness and humidity.
Second, use a mild shampoo. However, this is something that one should follow all through the year. In fact, one should use reetha, amla and shikakai to wash ones hair. Not will will it keep the hair healthy and shiny, it will prevent hair fall.
Third, what you eat makes a difference. Eat a balanced diet which includes proteins like eggs, fish, nuts and green leafy vegetables.
Four, don’t use styling tools and chemicals to style the hair. During monsoon, the hair loses its bounce and there is tendency to use products. Excessive use can lead to hair fall and also cause dandruff.
