Almost of us have got into scraps and ended up with minor cuts and bruises while playing or just falling down. A visit to a doctor for toddlers can be a harrowing experience. But the wound needs to be treated. Here are a few quick tips that mothers can follow.

First, the most important and basic rule, clean the wound properly to remove any dirt with clean water. Be gentle while wiping the area around the wound.

Second, use aloe vera. The gel is soothing and improves healing

Third, in most homes, there is honey, especially during winters. Natural honey has great healing powers. Apply it on the dressing and put it on the wound and wrap the injury.

Four, coconut oil is an  effective healer. It has  antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, moisturising and healing properties. The oil keeps infection at bay and prevents scarring as well.

Using pure coconut oil on the wounded area. Put a bandage over the cut. Do this two-three times a day and change the bandage as well. Do this for a week.

last, one should not forget the turmeric, a natural antiseptic and antibiotic agent. Mix half a tbsp of turmeric in flaxseed oil to form a paste. Apply it on the wound two-three times a day to reduce the pain and prevent infection.
