Having a bad hair seasonIJ There’s lot you can do about it but only if you are serious about it, says ROSHANI DEVI

Bad hair days have stretched to bad hair seasons and sometimes look alarmingly permanent, especially when it comes to people living in polluted urban centres and eating whatever junk comes to their plates.

But first let some realities sink in, the most primary one being the fact that if you do not care for your hair, no amount of oils or beauty treatments will help. Diet is a huge issue that needs to be tackled here. Here are some tips:

  • A fresh and balanced diet is must for good hair. Did you know that hair is the least important organ for the body which is so heavily engaged in providing the nutrition to the more useful organs of the body that only the leftovers, if any, reach the hair.

What you could do is set a diet of daily greens without the oil, fish, eggs and chicken if you are a non-vegetarian. High protein and high iron is key to heart health.

  • Nurture your hair and scalp: keep your hair clean, preferably with non chemical shampoos, oil and condition at least twice a week and massage twice a month. This keeps the nerves tingling, the blood flow healthy and the hair buoyant.
  • External care: Green Apple pulp massage is ideal for those beset with lifeless falling hair. Apple cider rinse brings the shine. Soaked methi seeds paste removed dandruff and other infections you may not know have crept into your scalp.

Try these and don’t forget to keep hydrated. Hair are thirsty strands so do take care.
