Security forces on Sunday busted a terrorist hideout in Panthna Keshwan forest area of hilly Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir and stumbled upon huge quantity of fresh eatables, fruit juice, Maggi noodles as well as LPG cylinder and gas stove horded by the terrorists.
To ensure alternative energy supply, provision of using solar power was also made by the terrorists. A solar panel was recovered by the security forces from the hideout.
A cursory look at the stocked ration supplies of eggs, cooking oil, pulses and vegetables clearly suggested the terrorists spent considerable time in this hideout while planning their terror plans and were also well prepared to remain in hiding in case of any search operation.
To beat the cold weather conditions, the terrorists had stocked large number of blankets, sleeping bag and a wooden bed with the help of their sympathisers in close vicinity.
The hideout busted by the joint team of security forces and the J&K Police was located close to the resident of one of the oldest and the most active terrorist in Kisthwar, Jammal Din.
According to official sources, close to eight terrorists are active in the region and the joint teams of security forces are tracking their footprints on regular basis.
Large number of utensils, tea, mugs and other kitchen materials were also procured by these terrorists from the local market and were arranged on rows inside the hideout.
The security forces are now trying to find out whether the terrorists were themselves visiting the market or some overground workers were supplying them food items to sustain them inside their hideout.
