In a demonstration of the close ties between India and France, the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Rafale jets will take part in the Bastille Day Parade on July 14 in Paris. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the guest of honour at the event, which marks France’s National Day. The Indian jets will fly alongside French airplanes, symbolising the strong strategic partnership between the two nations as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of their ties. French President Emmanuel Macron had tweeted in French and Hindi on May 6, “Dear Narendra, it will be my pleasure to welcome you to Paris as the guest of honor for the 14th of July parade.”
