Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that his Government will not be biased towards anyone and there will be no discrimination on any grounds whatsoever. Participating in a programme hosted by a TV channel, Yogi assured the people of the State that “na tilak ka bhed hoga, na topi ka bhed hoga,” the Government will provide security to all and involve everyone in UP's progress. He however categorically stated that “there would not be appeasement of any section of society."Issuing a stern warning to those wearing the Saffron scarf and indulging in incidents of arson and violence, Yogi said, "those who are trying to defame BJP and cultural organisation are being identified and they would be brought to justice." Commenting on the alleged involvement of activists of Hindu Yuva Vahini, Yogi reiterated those wearing fake scarf should watch out, nobody will be spared.

Speaking about his Government's 100 day report card, CM Adityanath said, 'law and order is our priority. There are several minor incidents at some places but everything is under control and everything will soon be normal. Every sister, daughter, and trader of UP will feel safe in the State.'

CM Adityanath also spoke on the transfers of the officers soon after he took over the office. "As per the established practice in UP, with the change of regime in the State the officers are shuffled like cards and the entire State machinery of administration is overhauled. We tried to work with the same team of officers. We started shuffling the officers only after a month. We changed only those who were not ready to change with the changed system or not comfortable with the new system which demands punctuality hard work and accountability.'

Chief Minister said, "we have brought a transfer policy in Uttar Pradesh. Now everyone will have to tell about the reason for transfer. All the Ministers will have to mention and inform me as to why an officer is being transferred and what public good will be served with the transfer."

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh DGP Sulkhan Singh has directed police officials to effectively deal with vigilantes causing law and order problems in the name of cow protection and religious conversions.

The DGP has asked officials to identify the vigilantes through their intelligence networks and prepare dossiers on them, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

In a directive sent to district police chiefs on Friday, Singh has asked them to take "effective" action by lodging FIRs against people found taking the law into their own hands in the name of saving cows from slaughter, stopping illegal trafficking of milch animals and in cases of religious conversions.

Officials have also been asked to make in-charges of police stations aware on trafficking of milch animals, the spokesman said.

It has come to the fore that in some incidents 'gau rakshaks' and organisations rushed to the spot on getting information on cow slaughter and disrupted traffic causing jams, assaulted people and indulged in arson, Singh said.

There have also been incidents in which vigilantes assaulted people and damaged vehicles that were allegedly ferrying milch animals illegally, the DGP said.

He said that in the name of morality couples sitting in public places have been assaulted on occasions like Valentines Day.

There have been reports that in cases of religious conversion, vigilantes act on their own, and beat and thrash people. This leads to law and order problems, the DGP said.
