Son of a policeman among 3 booked, still at large
In yet another case of crime against women in Badaun, a 32-year-old woman was allegedly held captive and gang-raped by three persons, including the son of a policeman, in the Bisauli area on Friday.
According to the Badaun SSP, lR Kumar, the victim was waylaid when she had gone out to purchase medicines on Friday night. She was taken to an under-construction house along with her two children by one Himanshu.
The victim alleged that Himanshu, who is son of a policeman, locked her up with the children in the house and left only to return later with two aides to gang-rape her in front of her children.
On Saturday, the woman narrated her ordeal to locals after being released by the accused. On the basis of the victim’s statement, a case has been lodged against Himanshu, Khalifa, alias Pramod, and an unidentified person. The accused are still at large.
