Taken right out of a suspense thriller, a 43-year-old plumber first brutally murdered his wife, chopped the corpse and then stayed with the body under the same roof for three days in East Delhi’s Madhu Vihar area. However, unable to bear the stench coming out from the body, the accused, Subodh Kumar, sought help of his friend
and neighbour on Tuesday afternoon.
Confiding in his friend about the murder, Subodh asked his friend to assist him in disposing of the body parts in different areas across Delhi to evade arrest. Aghast at the revelation, the friend diverted Subodh’s attention and went to a nearby park to inform the beat constable about the incident.
Soon a team of police officials rushed to the spot and nabbed Subodh. According to the DCP, the accused hid the body of his wife in a suitcase for three days at his rented accommodation.
