The Pioneer mourns the sad demise of its former editor Vinod Mehta, who was instrumental in shifting the paper’s headquarters to Delhi from lucknow in 1990. The 73-year old founder-editor of Outlook breathed his last due to multiple organ failure at AIIMS in the national Capital on Sunday.
In his famed autobiography, lucknow Boy: A Memoir, Mehta recounts his life journey: growing up in lucknow in the 1950s, leaving home for jobs after a third-class BA degree from lucknow University, and settling down with four-decade-long tryst with journalism that started with his editorship of Debonair.
