Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the terror strikes in J&K on Friday was a bid to attack the Indian democracy, but the brave jawans sacrificed their lives protecting the country’s security.
“The terrorists did a shameful act by attacking the democratic process in Kashmir. Our brave security personnel gave a befitting reply to them,” Modi told the audience during a campaign rally in the poll-bound Jharkhand. The PM paid tributes to the martyrs of the J&K attacks, particularly brave son of Jharkhand, lt Col Sankalp Kumar Shukla.
“I pay my tributes to Jharkhand’s brave son Sankalp Kumar Shukla and other brave jawans who sacrificed their lives. Sankalp Kumar Shukla’s martyrdom will be remembered by future generations in the State,” he added.
