Mercury in the national Capital dropped to 4-year low on December 22 morning. On Saturday morning, temperature was 4 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 4 degrees, four notches below the season’s average, it said.
As per the department, the temperature is the lowest in the last four years. The fall in temperature is due to cold wave conditions prevailing over northwest India, the Meteorological Department said.

Interestingly, the mercury in Gurugram dipped further to 2.3 degrees Celsius making it bone chilling for some.
