Sinha says tough rules soon as FIA lifts flying ban on MP

On a day when the Federation of Indian Airlines followed Air India’s lead and lifted the two-week-long flying ban on Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad for assaulting an AI staffer, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said that unruly behaviour by air passengers would result in severe consequences, including police action.

“The Ministry is strengthening rules so that a national no-fly list can be implemented and such incidents can be prevented,” he said on Saturday.
