The law student who levelled rape charges against BJP leader and former Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand recorded her statement before a magistrate in Shahjahanpur on Monday.
The 23-year old woman was brought to the court of Judicial Magistrate Geetika Singh under heavy security cover by the special investigation team (SIT).
She remained in the court for around four hours and told PTI that the magistrate recorded her statement in 10 to 12 pages. She said, “I have told the magistrate about the rape complaint I gave in New Delhi, my missing spectacles and a chip from the hostel room. I also informed about the bedding and liquor bottles, which were removed from the Chinmayanand’s room.”
The victim’s friends who were examined included the one who was with her when she was located in Rajasthan after having gone missing last month. The SIT had also examined principals of the two colleges where the girl studied.
