Prominent RSS leader and spokesperson Ram Madhav will join the BJP. He may be given an important post in the party. “His responsibility will be announced in due course”, sources said, pointing out that the party was awaiting a new president replacing the incumbent Rajnath Singh, who is also the Union Home Minister.
The decision regarding Madhav is understood to have been taken in a meeting of the RSS held on Monday in Indore.
Madhav became a full-time RSS worker in 1981 and has been assigned several key positions in the organisation in the past. A member of RSS National Executive, Madhav has been the national spokesperson of RSS since 2003. Madahv has currently written a book relating to security of India vis-à-vis China.
