Hailing as “just” the Election Commission verdict recognising the Akhilesh Yadav faction as Samajwadi Party and allotting it the reserved symbol “Cycle”, SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav expressed confidence about stitching up a grand alliance, including with the Congress, for the high-stake UP elections. Speaking to reporters immediately after the EC’s decision, Ram Gopal Yadav urged party men to work harder now to ensure the young leader gets another term as the UP CM.
