Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday came out with his own grades for the Narendra Modi Government giving an F grade to agriculture, foreign policy, fuel prices and job creation but an A+ for slogan creation and self promotion.

His party, for its part, termed the four years of the BJP-led NDA rule as a period of “treachery, trickery, revenge and lies” and launched a direct attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, saying the duo was “harmful” for the country.

The Congress also released a booklet titled ‘India betrayed’. To oppose the BJP on its big day, the Congress observed “Vishwasghat Diwas’ (Betrayal Day) and held over two dozen  conferences in different cities across the country to expose the BJP’s lies.

The Congress president gave the Modi Government

grade ‘B-’ in the category of Yoga and also added a personality analysis of Modi, calling him a “master communicator” with a short attention span.

Rahul had earlier attacked Modi for rising fuel prices and had threatened to launch a nationwide stir if the prices do not come down. He gave a “fuel challenge” to the PM, soon after the latter accepted an online fitness dare from cricketer Virat Kohli.

Senior Congress leaders too lashed out at the Modi Government saying the ruling dispensation did nothing for the farmers in the last four years and the farmers didn’t receive even the minimum support price for their production.

Releasing a booklet titled ‘India Betrayed’, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ashok Gehlot and Randeep Singh Surjewala said an atmosphere of fear and hatred has been created under the NDA rule. The trio also defined the Modi Government in four terms -- Treachery, Trickery, Revenge and lies. In the booklet, the Congress asked a set of 40 questions to PM Modi.

Referring to alleged atrocities on Dalits, tribals, minorities and women, leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad said, “Nobody is safe in India under the BJP Government. Everyone is getting sleepless nights.”

Reacting to the Modi Government’s Kashmir policy, the Congress leader said that Kashmir is a State which was exploited by Modi most during the elections. “In the recent past, ever since things had normalised in Jammu & Kashmir post 1996, highest number of security forces and civilians were killed in the four years of the Modi Government,” Azad said.

The Congress leader went on to remind the incidents of terrorist attacks on important locations like Pathankot, Uri and Nagrota, where dozens of security forces and civilians were killed.

AICC communications’ incharge Surjewala said people now know that Modi-Amit Shah duo is harmful for the country. “Four years of the Modi Government can be defined in four terms - treachery, trickery, revenge and lies,” he said. “Atmosphere of fear, hatred and violence was created in the last four years of the Modi Government,” AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot said at the joint Press conference.

Congress leader Ahmed Patel accused the Modi Government of having a greed for power that has triumphed over empowering the Indian farmers. Patel said the Modi Government has overlooked the pain of the Indian farmers and is busy in “rewriting the history over future of the youth”.
