At the request of the Editor, Shri Joginder Singh joined the Board of Directors of The Pioneer within a few weeks of his retirement to assist the new management under Dr Chandan Mitra to stabilise operations when the management changed hands from the Thapar Group. He was also a long standing columnist of this newspaper and contributed a fortnightly column without fail till the final weeks of his life.
His presence as a Director of The Pioneer helped establish the credentials of the new management team and he regularly co-operated in finding new supporters for the management which was at that time quite inexperienced. Shri Joginder Singh often visited the office of The Pioneer and interacted with Editorial and Marketing department colleagues to exchange ideas and lend vigour to their morale.
The Pioneer family herewith pays heartfelt tribute to his memory and wishes his soul may rest in peace.
