With an order passed by the Delhi lt Governor on Wednesday hiking the parking fees four fold, Friday saw parking attendants adopt a new method to let the commuters park their vehicles at lower fees.
Earlier, people paid Rs 10 for two wheeler and Rs 20 for four wheelers but since Thursday, people are either fighting with us over the fare hike or are leaving the parking lot altogether,” said Sunil, a parking attendant at Connaught Place. He was heard saying to a biker that “if you ask for slip, I will take Rs 40 but without slip, you will only pay Rs 20.”
