A day after an all-party meeting was assured that the top priority was to evacuate all Indian citizens from strife-torn Afghanistan, the Government on Friday said it has managed to bring out nearly all Indians willing to return. The question of whether to recognise the Taliban rule in Afghanistan or not comes later. Given the fluid situation there, it will be “jumping the gun” in recognising the Taliban dispensation, it clarified.
Stressing these points here, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi said, “Besides Indian citizens, we were able to bring out some Afghan nationals as well as nationals from other countries.
