late evening reports said that the investigating agency was sending summonses to two TMC heavyweights from East Midnapore district for their role in facilitating chit fund operations. Summonses were ready and could be sent as early as Wednesday, said sources.
This even as West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee thundered from her office saying she had been told by the officials that New Delhi had asked them to arrest her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, Minister Subhendu Adhikary, Senior Minister Firhad Hakim, Kolkata Mayor and Minister Sovan Chatterjee, his Cabinet colleague Moloy Ghatak.
