External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday launched a book for children called ‘Exam Warriors’ that has been written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Presented in an interactive style, with illustrations, activities and yoga exercises, the book has tips for parents and students on ways to handle the stress during the examination time.

It has been written with special focus on Class X and XII students who appear for Board Examinations. The publisher of the book — Penguin India — termed the book, “non-preachy, practical, thought-provoking, and a handy guide for students in India and across the world.”

The PM has urged people to give priority to knowledge over marks while encouraging students to take up education in a manner that would strengthen and build their future. The book is integrated with the Narendra Modi Mobile App.

The PM in his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat has from time to time urged students not to panic during examination time and celebrate them like festivals. “Exams should be a time for celebration. It is an occasion to show what you have learned. It is for you to decide if it is a pleasure or pressure. One must take exams like a festival. We give our best during festivals. My special request to parents is to help create an environment of a festival,” Modi said.
