Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the situation in the State in the wake of mounting tensions between India and Pakistan and repeated ceasefire violations by the latter along the loC and International Border.
The meeting lasted for nearly an hour during which the J&K Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister of the law & order situation gripped by unrest after the killing of Burhan Wani, a Hizbul Mujahideen commander, on July 8, official sources said.
Mehbooba also discussed with the Prime Minister the ongoing developmental projects in the State and thanked him for continued support for the uplift of the people of the troubled state, the sources said.
