Speculation is rife that AAP leader and Delhi’s Urban Development Minister Manish Sisodia will contest the forthcoming lok Sabha election from Ghaziabad constituency. This could upset political calculation in the NCR town.
Sisodia is one of the prominent faces of the AAP. Given that the AAP has a strong base in Ghaziabad, which is also the residence of party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi’s Urban Development Minister has already started giving jitters to political rivals.
BJP president Rajnath Singh represents Ghaziabad in the lok Sabha. He defeated Congress’ SP Goyal by a margin of over 90,681 votes in the 2009 election. Singh had polled votes even in minority dominated areas. The BSP candidate had stood third from the city in the last general election.
