In a shocking incident, the body of a 7-year-old boy was found in a drain with his eyes gauged out and tongue slit near his house in Southeast Delhi’s Okhla Industrial area on Thursday.
After the family staged protest on the Harkesh Nagar main road alleging that the child was killed by a man next door, the Delhi Police on Thursday arrested the accused.
DCP Chinmoy Biswal said the man, identified as 21-year- old Sandeep, strangled the boy after the boy resisted his sexual advances.
The accused confessed that he threw the body in the drain two hours after he killed the minor. The murder was reported to police after a local spotted the body.
