Famous Bollywood actress from the 90s Mamta Kulkarni and her husband Vicky Goswami was detained by the Kenya Police on the charge of drug trafficking.
According to reports, Mamta and her hubby are currently being questioned for their role in drug trafficking in Mombasa. Mamta had returned to Kenya to live with her husband. It has also been learnt that Vicky has the reputation of being involved in drugs earlier as well.
Media reports suggest that the former Bollywood actor was detained in Kenya in a joint operation by Drug Enforcement Agency and Mombasa Police.
Mamta’s partner Vicky Goswami, who has a tainted past, was jailed in Dubai for drug-related offences in 1997 also. He came out of the prison in 2012 and since then he has been living with Kulkarni in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mamta has done films like Karan Arjun, Krantiveer and China Gate, disappeared from the film scene after 2002. After a decade, it was learnt that she has been leading the life of a yogini.
While Mamta is currently being quizzed by the police for her alleged involvement in the case, she might be deported to India if found guilty. However, reports are that her husband Vicky who was earlier convicted and imprisoned for trafficking mandrax in the city, might be deported to the US.
