A student of SS Law College has alleged via a video posted on social media that college owner and former Union Minister in the BJP-led Government Swami Chinmayanand had sexually exploited her.

However, Swami denied the charges and alleged that there was a conspiracy to extort Rs 5 crore from him. He claimed he had got extortion calls and he lodged an FIR against unidentified people.

The girl’s family claimed that she was missing for the past two days. A case of missing person had been registered and investigations are on.

Meanwhile, Swami denied charged and alleged that there was a conspiracy to extort Rs 5 crore from him. He claimed he had got extortion calls and he lodged an FIR against unidentified people.

“Swami lodged an FIR on August 22 alleging Rs 5 crore as extortion had been demanded through WhatsApp. Extortionist also threatened to make Swami’s video viral if the amount was not paid,” a police official said.

The FIR was lodged by Swami’s Mumuksh Ashram situated in Shahjahanpur’s Kotwali police station area.

Swami had been in controversy few years back when he was accused of similar charges by a woman in his school. However, he was acquitted in the case later.

Swami Chinmayanand is currently with BJP and is said to be close to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the latter has visited his ashram in Shahjahanpur twice.
