Soon after EC’s recommendation for disqualification of 20 Aam Aadmi Party MlAs for holding office of profit on Friday, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress lost no time in demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal
While Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari termed the EC decision a “moral defeat” for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and asked for his resignation, Congress chief Ajay Maken said, “Kejriwal has no moral right to be in power and he should resign.”
“We welcome the EC decision disqualifying 20 AAP MlAs,” Tiwari said.
Maken said the Congress will launch a “Jan Andolan” from January 22 demanding Kejriwal Government’s removal and expose him on the corruption issue.
