Kejri men brace for showdown with Yogendra

Calling the recent leak of letters — indicating internal conflicts between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal and senior party leader Yogendra Yadav over the post of party’s national convener — a conspiracy against Kejriwal, senior party leader Sanjay Singh on Monday said that the party will hold a national executive meet on Wednesday to put an end to the speculation. Senior leader Prashant Bhushan’s fate too will be decided in the meeting.

Stating that constant leakage of letters written by party members has made the party look like a joke, Singh said, “If there is a problem in the party, the discussion should remain within the party. If these things are put in the open, then one should understand that this smells of an ulterior motive and not just an internal conflict.”

According to sources, some senior leaders of the party have gone off at tangent for the last eight months. In the last couple of days, several letters have been leaked reflecting this ongoing rift in the party. Some party members have even come out into the open demanding Yogendra Yadav’s elevation as national convener of the party.

Singh claimed that Kejriwal had tendered his resignation at its national executive meeting held last week. However, it was opposed by members,  who had insisted that he  should continue as the AAP national convener.

He said, “Kejriwal is working day and night to keep the party together. The entire national executive members decided that Kejriwal will continue as the party chief and there is no question of removing him from the post. If this is the case, then how will the party workIJ Will the volunteers like itIJ
