The Chief Minister, who was given only three minutes to speak at the inaugural session, succinctly presented to the audience — including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ivanka Trump, advisor to and the daughter of US President Donald Trump — the strides made by the “youngest and the newest State” of India.

While talking of the technology and investment, KCR did not forget to hardsell the soft power of Hyderabad.

Terming Hyderabad the “most happening city with a vibrant economy” and the most hospitable destination, KCR urged the guests to enjoy the legendary hospitality of Hyderabad and relish its signature dish Hyderabadi Biryani.

“The unique feature of his policy is that in case if approval does not come in fifteen days it is deemed to be given,” he said.

Explaining how this policy has actually worked quite admirably on the ground in the last three years, the Chief Minister said, “We have given approval to 5,469 industrial units with a total investment of 17.5 billion dollar and created over four lakh jobs. All this achievement has happened without the investors requiring running from pillar to post.”

Telangana has been ranked as number one State in the country in ease of doing business ranking brought out by the Government of India and Wrold Bank jointly. Telangana has now become a favoured destination for both the domestic and international investors, the Chief Minister informed the delegates amid the applause.

Addressing the delegates, many of whom were from America, KCR said Hyderabad has the second largest presence of five most valuable companies in the world outside their own headquarters in the USA like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon.

Referring to the efforts his state was making to encourage the young entrepreneurs, he said Hyderabad hosts India’s largest technology incubator called T-Hub. “We have vibrant startup echo system in which the Government has played a catalyst role in bringing together the best academic institutions and the corporate sector to nourish and support brilliant young minds. T-Hub is now recognized as a role model by the National Institute of Transfomring India or NITI Ayog,” the Chief Minister said.
