In a mixed signal that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is firm on his “resolve of zero tolerance against corruption” but is also ready to give more leeway to the RJD, the much-hyped meeting of senior JD(U) leaders on Tuesday did not call for the resignation of lalu Prasad’s younger son and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, who has been named in CBI FIR in the hotel-for-land scam.
JD(U) spokespersons avoided even taking the name of Tejashwi Yadav. They failed to say anything other than the “person facing accusation is expected to produce all the factual evidence before the people and the media.”
While senior JD(U) leader Ramai Ram said that Tejashwi has been given four days to explain his position, another spokesperson disowned Ram’s claim.
