In a major revamp of the Mehbooba Mufti-led BJP-PDP alliance Government in Jammu & Kashmir, Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta and seven others were sworn-in as Ministers on Monday.
Gupta is the new Deputy Chief Minister in place of Nirmal Singh, who submitted his resignation late on Sunday night.
BJP State unit chief Satpal Sharma and MlAs from Kathua and adjoining Sambha, Rajiv Jasrotia and Devinder Kumar Manyal, respectively figured in the BJP list of Ministers. Eight new Ministers were administered oath of office and secrecy on Monday.
