Alert jawans of the Indian Army on Sunday foiled a major infiltration bid along the line of control by neutralising a Pakistani guide of a heavily armed group of infiltrators in the same area where Pakistan Army’s BAT team had mutilated bodies of Indian soldiers. The infiltrators then retreated in the Pakistan territory.
In another incident, an India Army porter was killed while another sustained injuries in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Keran sector of Kashmir. An Army official said, “Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing, resulting in death of one Army porter and injuries to another”.
