An aide of Asaram Bapu’s son Narayan Sai was nabbed from the Capital in a joint operation by Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Gujarat Police.

Dharmesh, who was in-charge of self-styled godman Asaram’s Ridge Road ashram, was nabbed on Friday morning from his hideout. Police is expected to produce him in court on Saturday, after which he would be taken to Gujarat for questioning.

A Gujarat Police team have been camping in Delhi for the last couple of days in search of Sai, who is wanted in connection with a complaint of sexual assault, rape and illegal confinement lodged against him and Asaram by two sisters in Jahangirpura Police Station in Surat. The team from Surat landed in the Capital after tracing Sai’s location to the city while intercepting his mobile phone locations.

On Wednesday, police conducted raids at Asaram’s ashrams in Rohini, Najafgarh, Jaffarpur Kalan and on Ridge Road. Police, however, could not trace Sai, who is frequently changing locations.
