If KCR can do, why can't Chandrababu

If KCR can do it, Chandrababu Naidu can do it even better seems to be the motto of the two competing neighbouring States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.Even as Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s acquisition of a luxury air-conditioned Mercedes bus has snowball into a controversy, his Andhra Pradesh counterpart was also in the process of adding a similar vehicle to his collection.
like in the KCR case, a bus manufactured by the Mercedes Benz is undergoing extra fittings at the JCBl Company’s workshop at Chandigarh and is expected to be delivered soon.Special emphasis was laid on making the vehicle impenetrable fortress by making its body and glasses bullet and mine proof. It will also have special tyres which will be able to withstand powerful blasts and even after suffering damages they can run for 30 to 50 kms.
The bus has several facilities — including a bedroom, rest room and a meeting hall — with a seating capacity of up to eight people. The office space in the bus will have facilities — including a TV, fax, Internet, Wifi and printer.Chandrababu Naidu will also have a special seat in the front row of the bus with a provision for two seats for two security guards behind him.
Officials said that Chandrababu Naidu will use the bus for his district tours and will spend the night in the bus at the places which do not have suitable guest house facilities for the Chief Minister.Though Naidu is already using such a vehicle and twice he has spent his night in it at Vijaywadad due to the lack of proper facilities on the ground, officials said that the new vehicle will be far superior in terms of comfort facilities and security.
The bus will have nine ton ACs to keep the environment cool and comfortable in the hot weather conditions. While KCR’s bus cost `5 crore, officials did not reveal the price of the new acquisition of Naidu. But it is believed to be in the same range. While the Opposition Congress had objected to the splurging of money by the Telangana Government on a new bus for KCR, the Telugu Desam Party has been maintaining unusually deafening silence. Now Naidu’s new bus explains why the TDP leaders were not critical of KCR.
KCR used his brand new Merc white bus on Friday to travel to Chilkur village in Ranga Reddy district for launching the tree plantation program “Haritha Haaram”.
