I could be my mother's next target: Mikhail

I could be my mother’s next target,” says Mikhail Bora, son of Indrani Mukerjea who is the prime accused in the murder of her daughter Sheena.

Talking to reporters outside his grandparents’ house in Guwahati’s Sundarpur area, Mikhail said, “Indrani perhaps planned not only to kill me but my grandparents too for their property.”

A Mumbai Police team is already in Guwahati to probe the murder and get more details about Sheena Bora. The two-member team visited the Bora household and grilled Mikhail and his grandparents for about one hour.

In the evening the police called Mikhail to the Dispur Police Station and quizzed him further.

“They called me for questioning and I cooperated with them fully. They said that they might call me again,” said Mikhail after coming out of the Dispur Police Station in the evening.

On being asked if he would be required to go to Mumbai for investigation, Mikhail said that the police team had not told him anything in this regard.

Mikhail had earlier told the media that his mother Indrani had killed Sheena for “some reasons” and that he was in possession of some “evidence” to prove this.

“I have some evidence to confirm the troubled relationship between Indrani, Peter and Sheena. Apart from this I also have some photographs which will confirm some angles related to Sheena’s murder, which I am going to submit to the police soon,” he said.

Mikhail also offered to go to Mumbai if required for the investigation but said that he would not go alone as he is scared of Indrani, who is “very powerful.”

“I also need the Government or the police to arrange for two nurses to look after my grandparents if I have to go to Mumbai. They are very old and I cannot leave them alone here,” he said.

Although Mikhail confirmed that both he and Sheena are the children of Indrani, Sheena’s birth certificate has the names of her grandparents UK Bora and DR Bora as her father and mother.

The neighbours of the Boras have a good opinion of Sheena and Mikhail and said that both the children were raised by their grandparents. “Their mother never bothered to come and check how they were doing. I heard that Indrani came here once in 2013 after long years of remaining in oblivion, but I have not met her,” said a neighbour of the Boras.
