Commuting will become easier for the people of  Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) especially from Ghaziabad and Noida as the Delhi Metro is set to open Dilshad Garden to Ghaziabad New Bus Adda Red Line on March 9. Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic city on Blue Line may start on March 9, but the DMRC is likely to take a final decision soon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate both the sections on March 8.

Both sections of the Delhi Metro have already been granted the nod by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).

The completely elevated Blue Line section with six stations — Sector 34, Sector 52, Sector 61, Sector 59, Sector 62 and Noida Electronic City — will immensely benefit the people of Noida and connect the satellite city with Delhi.

This City Centre to Noida Electronic City extension has made the Blue Line corridor Delhi Metro’s second longest Metro corridor after the 59 kilometre long Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar corridor of Phase 3.  With this extension, the Blue Line is 56.46 kilometre long.
