Governor of Tamil Nadu C Vidyasagar Rao on Tuesday evening entrusted the portfolios hitherto dealt by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to O Panneerselvam, Minister for Finance, Personnel And Administrative Reforms. The reallocation has been made as per Clause (3) of Article 166 of the Constitution of India, according to the release. Rao said that Panneerselvam would preside over the Cabinet meetings until Jayalalithaa resumes her duties. Amma, who has been admitted to hospital, would continue to be the Chief Minister. “This arrangement has been made as per the advice of the CM,” said the release.
