Gurgaon CJM booked for wife's murder

Published on:

Three days after Gurgaon Chief Judicial Magistrate’s wife Geetanjali (28) was found dead at a park, the Gurgaon Police on Saturday registered a murder case against CJM Ravneet Garg, his mother Rachna Garg and his father KK Garg, a retired sessions judge, of Chandigarh.

The case was registered following the complaint of Geetanjali’s brother Pradeep Aggarwal that Ravneet and his family members had been torturing her for the last three months over their “never-ending demands.”

The police summoned Ravneet and his family members for questioning. Meanwhile, ballistic experts and the Special Investigating Team, constituted to investigate the case, visited Ravneet’s official residence to search for any lead. They have collected some samples and are examining the laptop and mobile phone of the victim. No arrest has been made in the case so far. Police are waiting for reports of paraffin test, fingerprint and gun powder test.
